Tulsa SPCA At Work
Hi, my name is Jeff and I oversee the Volkswagen Tulsa website.
The reason for this web page is to help and recognize the selfless work of the Tulsa SPCA organization. Words are insufficient to describe the horrid and sometimes dangerous places they go to rescue these animals, then bring them back to health and train them to be a family member in someone's home. Even more impressive, they operate solely on volunteers and donations.
If you are considering a family pet, please look into adopting from the Tulsa SPCA. You not only save an animals life, you may just find a best friend like we did! This is our experience...
Our Experience With Adoption
Fergie (far left, Angelina shelter name) was found running for her life down the middle of Sheridan road one cold, January night in 2009. Some wonderful person got her into their warm car and brought her to the Tulsa SPCA where they nursed her back to health (she was 2 months old and only weighed a few pounds) until we could adopt her.
Zoe on the right, well she had it a little better than Fergie. She was born at a Southern California rescue shelter still, without the rescue organization taking in a pregnant Chihuahua mom, Zoe would not be here today. If you want to see the happiness on a dogs face to be adopted, the photo second from the right was the first one we ever took of her; when we got her in the car to go home from the shelter. That's priceless.
